Our Practice
Julie Lee Kim, O.D. Dr. Julie L. Kim has been practicing optometry since 1989. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and is a graduate of the College of Optometry at Pacific University. Dr. Kim underwent her residency with the Seattle and American Lake VA Medical Centers. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the North Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is involved with various activities in her community and her church. Dr. Kim is fluent in English and Korean and speaks some Spanish. Nga Lu, O.D. Dr. Nga Lu graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry. There, she completed internships specializing in LASIK and vision therapy and graduated as a member of the BSK honors society. Dr. Lu completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA majoring in Psychology/Biology. There, she worked in research concerning Diabetes, anxiety, and worked with children with autism. Dr. Lu enjoys travel when she is not in the office. She has been to Paraguay and Honduras to volunteer in eye clinics. Gilda Gilda is our Office Mangager and has been with our office for over 2 years. She assists with our pre-testing procedures, helps selects frames, and answers all questions about insurances. She is always kind and patient and is also fluent in Spanish. Gilda works full-time at our office while attending Devry University to pursue business administration. Yvonne Yvonne is one of our Optometric Assistants and has been with our office going on 5 years. She is very friendly and helpful in addressing your eyecare needs. Yvonne is fashion forward and knowledgable in todays eyewear trends. She plans to obtain her certification with the American Board of Opticianry (ABO). Yvonne works on her music in her spare time and is currently recording her first album. Mayra Mayra is the newest addition to our office. She pre-tests and asists our patients with all their optometric needs. When Marya isn't in the office, she is a student at Pierce College majoring in biology. She then plans to transfer to CSUN to study medical technology. During Marya's time off, she plans to volunteer her time at Northridge Hospital. Michelle Michelle is a full time employee with 7 years experience in the optometry field. She is currently working to obtain her ABO certification this year. Michelle has also done volunteer in Caborca, Sonora Mexico helping doctors translate eye exams and fit glasses for under- privileged families. |
