Comprehensive Eye Exams

The comprehensive eye examination is a series of tests administered by our doctors to assess your level of vision, as well as to detect any abnormality or diseases of the eye, such as diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, cataracts, dry eye and glaucoma. In addition to the comprehensive eye exam we also offer advanced eyecare services through the use of high tech retinal image technology, Optovue iWellness Exam.

Contact Lenses

Our doctors have decades of experience in successfully fitting all types of contact lenses.  We carry an extensive selection of contact lens options from daily disposable lenses, soft contacts for astigmatism, myopia management lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, multi-focal lenses, and color contacts.  We stock a large prescription range of contact lenses available the same day, with most other specialty lenses available within three to five business days.

Pediatric Eye Exam

Children’s vision care is essential to every child’s development. Experts say that over 80 percent of what a child learns academically is presented visually.  A routine eye exam for children can detect any nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism your child may have which can interfere with vision development, sports vision and academic performance.  Our doctors will evaluate your child’s vision at both distance and near, binocular vision, eye muscle skills, eye focusing skills, depth perception and color vision. We now offer MiSight 1 day child friendly disposable contact lenses to help slow the progression of nearsightedness.

Eye Disease Diagnosis & Treatment

A routine eye exam can detect eye disease and general health problems before you are aware a problem exists. This examination includes testing for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration, dry eye, and more.  Dr. Terzian is licensed to treat ocular infections and allergies, glaucoma, lacrimal dilation & irrigation, pre and post-op management in cataract, diabetic retinopathy and refractive surgeries. Porter Ranch Optometry also offers the iWellness Exam by Optovue and Optomap Digital Eye Imaging Technology. This new non-invasive technology allows our doctors to evaluate your eye health without the use of dilating drops, providing an in-depth view of the retina.

Cataract Evaluation

Dr. Terzian can examine your eyes for cataract and refer you to a specialist and provide any pre and post-operative care.  Cataracts may occur as a result of many factors and characterize themselves by a progressive clouding of your vision.  Cataracts typically progress slowly to cause vision loss but are potentially blinding if left untreated.  The most important step is to get a complete eye examination annually to help monitor and protect your vision.

LASIK is a type of refractive laser eye surgery for correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Our doctors will perform a thorough and extensive examination and determine if you are good candidate for Refractive Eye Surgery.
